Early days for syrup at the Pays de Herve farms

In the 17th century, the Pays de Herve farmers own a great many orchards that grow pears and apples in abundance.

Looking to increase the value of their fruit, the farmers produce syrupin a copper kettle and a fruit press to sell alongside their other farm products.
